Quick Summary
Key rules of the fight:
-
[Corrupt] to avoid Svarog getting buff and increasing his Gluttony stacks.
-
[INIT Down] to slow Svarog divinity generation, reducing buff placement and damage.
-
[SPD Down] helps to delay his turn cycles
-
Resistance build can prevent Zmey from stealing your buff.
-
[RES UP] combined with [ACC Down] can prevent Buff steal
-
Avoid Buff heavy teams if not using the Resistance strategy
-
Avoid Retaliate at all costs if not running a Resistance strategy
-
For every Gluttony stacks, Svarog gains +5% INIT and gets -5% damage. Stacks cannot be removed by normal Buff removal effects. Avoiding stacking is key!
Description:
Zmey core mechanics revolve around [Gluttony] stacks. He start his rotation with his core who gives him 2 random level 3 Buff. For each buff he gains, he gains 2 stacks of [Gluttony], thus gaining 4 stacks. If he's under [INIT Down] he only gains 1 Buff. Then he gets an extra Turn and use his Basic which is an AoE that steal 1 Buff from each enemies and skyrocket his [Gluttony] stacks. Then his Ultimate double the [Gluttony] Stacks and AoE attack you 3 times.
The core strategy is to use the power of [Corrupt] and [Initiative Down]. If under both those Debuff (2 Turn Corrupt ideally), he only place 1 Buff that would be stolen by the [Corrupt] immediately. He would then use his Basic to steal the Buff and it would be stolen again by the second turn of [Corrupt] if it's a 2 turn [Corrupt].
If not running any other Buff on the team, Zmey core mechanics are completely avoided as with these 2 Debuff he would never get any [Gluttony]. The most viable tactics is actually to have [ACC Down] and [RES UP] to avoid the Basic steal in combination with the [Corrupt] Strategy.

Svarog's Strategy
✅ Strategy #1: Corrupt and Resist the Dragon
Goal: Control Zmey gluttony generation with Corrupt and INIT Down while neutralizing his Basic with [RES UP] and [ACC Down]
Essential Roles:
-
[Corrupt]
-
[INIT DOWN]
-
[ACC Down]
-
[RES UP]
-
DPS
Team example:
Anubis (Wave clearer/Control) - DPS for Waves [INIT Down] and [Corrupt]
Hound of duat (Defender/Shield) - Shields and [SPD Down]
Metztli (Heal/Restore Max HP) - Healing, revive, restore Max HP
Sphinx (Resistance/ATK Down) - ATK Down, ACC Down, Res UP, Heal
Cizin (DPS) - Everyone favorite Boss killer
Alternatives:
Corrupt: Mordred, Anubis, Izanami, Pazuzu
INIT Down: Tzilacatzin, Set, Koshchei, Anubis, Izanami, King Arthur, Morrigan
ACC Down: Shub Lugal, Caith Sith, Set, Sphinx
RES UP: Mabon, Cleopatra, Sphinx, Kinich Ahau

Why it works:
Anubis time to shine! With [INIT Down], Zmey damage is reduced and we slow down the ultimate and thus the Gluttony generation. [Corrupt] steal Zmey buff, reducing his buff placement and thus Divinity generation. Metztli is also a great choice to restore any destroyed Max HP while also providing key healing and revive. Sphinx brings both [ACC Down] and [RES UP] to negate the core effets. Cizin is there for cool points.

S-Tier Heroes
Anubis - Corrupt and INIT Down
Providing good support for waves, on boss he places Corrupt and INIT down, two key debuff for this fight!

Izanami - SPD Down, Corrupt and INIT Down
She was made for this fight! Corrupt for 3 turns, SDP Down and INIT Down, Zmey stand no chance when she's there!

Pazuzu - ACC Down, Corrupt and Acid
Accuracy Down can enable a resistance strategy that enables you to resist the buff steal on the Basic. The corrupt can avoid buff placement on the Core. The Acid and Vulnerable can help you outdamage Zmey before he spirals.

Mordred - Corrupt and Wave control
The corrupt can avoid buff placement on the Core of Zmey. It's only a 1 turn so can only prevent one buff, but still very useful. The confusion on the Core can help deal with the waves before the boss.
