This is why knowing what affinity the opponent is can be crucial between success and failure. If you find some content inconsistant, looking at the opposing affinity might reveal why.

  • Has 30% chance to Strong Hit which increase damage by 30%

Disadvantages of using a Negative affinity:

  • Has 30% chance to Weak Hit which cannot critical hit, reduce damage by 30% and prevent placing negative effects.

Impacts of using an Eternal affinity:

  • Has 10% chance to Strong Hit which increase damage by 30%

  • Can never Weak Hit

Archetype

Each heroes can be of one of the five main Archetypes. This defines his main role and purpose in a team. Each Archetype has also an impact on how effective an hero will be with certain type of gear with attunement.

"When all hope is lost, defender stand resolute in defense of your team, capable of taking the mightiest of blows. Defender primary goals is to protect their allies with abilities focus around shield and damage mitigation. First into the breach and last to fall. Defenders form the base of any team's defences."

The Defender is your classic Tank unit. They have higher Defense and HP but lower damage output. They are not fast but more resistant. Their goal is to deflect or mitigate damage for your other heroes. They are the one you want for absorbing hit when facing really strong bosses or enemies. They use Buff that enables your team survival and having one in your team will greatly improve your overall survivability. The defender attunement is with Plate gear. Giving the hero additional stats if wearing Plate type of gear. Each piece of attuned gear will reduce by 1% incoming damage from hits.

They have higher Speed, Initiative and Resistance but low damage output. They are fast but less resistant to hits than the Defender. Their goal is to improve other heroes and make them stronger. Really different than the Brawler who focus on himself and his damage, the Invoker is all about the team and can't do much without people on his side. They are your support unit, they helps your Defender with useful Buff, they help your Damage dealer to be more effective and they heal everyone to keep your team alive. They are not meant to be alone and solo content, but having one in the team will greatly increase your effectiveness. The Invoker attunement is with Cloth gear. They lack the raw damage output of Slayers and care little about their team's survival but their resilience allow them to fight longer often trading health for gains in power."

The Brawler is your classic Melee unit. Bread and butter warrior, their goal is to deal damage without being a glass canon. Not big team players, they focus mostly on their own damage and survival. They have higher HP and damage output. Often their damage comes from both HP and Attack. They use self survival Buff to stay alive and deal more damage but rarely share those precious buff with their teammates. The Brawler attunement is with Chain Mail gear. Giving the hero additional stats if wearing Chain Mail type of gear. They gain 0,5% on all stats for each piece of Chain Mail attuned.

They focus on applying powerful disables and debuffs on your foes whilst manipulating Turn Order and Divinity powers. When pure power fails, the Disruptor will be lurking in the shadows to control the battle in their favor."

The Disruptor is your classic Crowd Control unit. They have mid range damage and survival but high Speed and Initiative. The goal for them is to go fast to Disable and Debuff the opponent and giving the rest of your team a chance to do the work. They are there to control the fight and make sure things don't go out of hand. If failing to clear content, it might be interesting to look at your Disruptor options to help you have a better control of the fight. The Disruptor attunement is with Knightweave gear. Giving the hero additional stats if wearing Knightweave type of gear. They gain 1% of ignore resistance for each piece of Knightweave attuned.

The Slayer is your classic glass canon unit. High damage output coming from high Attack but overall low survivability.  The goal for them is destroy the enemy as fast and hard as possible. they need support to ensure they don't fall, but if you keep them alive, nothing will stand in your way. Some Slayer will be raw direct hit damage, other will be with strong Debuff. Analysing what type of slayer is best for the content you are facing might help you when team building.
