Fafnir Strategy

✅ Strategy #1: Freeze Control

Goal: Survive the first Ultimate then Slow Fafnir second form with Freeze. Using at least 4 Hero Archetype in the team composition.

Essential Roles:

  1. [Freeze]

  2. [Speed Down]

  3. Heal

  4. Cleanse for Blaze in first form

  5. DPS

Why: You first let him use his Ultimate, while he is in his second form, you use [Freeze] and [SPD Down] to keep him in second form as long as possible. Then you repeat until he his dead. Heal and cleanse helps surviving his first form damage.

Team example:
Skadi (Disruptor/Control) - Freeze loop and [Speed Down]

Shishi (Defender/Heal) - Heals, shields and [Attack Down]

Isolde (Invoker/Cleanse) - Healing, cleanse, [DEF UP]

Tristain (Defender/Shield) - Shield
Lady Xoc (Slayer) - Everyone favorite rare DPS

✅ Strategy #2: Ally Attack + Ame-No-Nuhoko

Goal: Slow Divinity accumulation using Divinity stealing weapon and Ally attack. Place Ame-No-Nuhoko on as many Heroes as possible or at least on mutli-hitters.

Shamash (Ally Attack)  - Core: Ally attack.
Aphrodite (Support/Ally Attack) - Basic: Ally Attack once [SPD UPII] and [INIT UPII].
Jackal (Speed control) - Basic: hits 3 times, SPD Down & Divinity steal with weapon.

DPS - Enemy Max HP or Strong hitter
Protect/Support (e.g. Shishi or standard healer) - Shields, Barrier, healing to survive.

Why: Each hit with Ame-No-Nuhoko reduce the boss Divinity. The more hit, the more you can control and lower his Divinity. Fafnir won't use his ultimate, never goes to second form and never scale his damage.

✅ Strategy #3: Nuke Nuke Nuke

Goal: Rapid Enemy Max HP hits to deal as much damage as possible before Fafnir increase his damage.

Essential Roles:

  1. Enemy Max HP

  2. [ATK UP]

  3. [DEF Down]

  4. Cleanse for Blaze in first form

  5. Heal

Why: Fafnir passive doesn't cap enemy Max HP damage, allowing for good numbers of damage quickly. A good Enemy Max HP like Beowulf or the Thunderbolt weapon in addition to [ATK UP] and [DEF Down] can quickly get rid of him.

Team example:
Beowulf (Slayer/DPS) - Enemy Max HP
Aphrodite (Invoker/Support) - Basic: Ally Attack once [SPD UPII] and [INIT UPII].
Quetzalcoatl (Invoker/ATK UP) - Ultimate: [ATK UP] and [Sharpen UP]

Pangu (Brawler/DEF Down) - Core: [DEF Down]
Sishi (Defender/Support) - Shields, Barrier, healing to survive.
